2.4 GHz Bluetooth technology

The Streamer is worn around your neck and has three buttons for the most important functions: Phone, TV and ConnectLine Microphone. Using 2.4 GHz Bluetooth technology, it is compatible with virtually all Bluetooth devices – including iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch® and Android™ smartphones and tablets.

The Streamer also acts as a remote control for your Neuro 2 sound processor giving you an alternative way to change programmes, adjust the volume or mute the sound around you.

Smart control from your smartphone

Use the ConnectLine App to control the sound streamed to your Neuro 2 sound processor. With just a few swipes and taps, this app lets you adjust the volume, change programmes on your sound processor, switch between sound sources like TV and music, and mute the sounds around you.

The ConnectLine App is available for iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch® and Android™ smartphones and tablets, and can be downloaded for free on the App Store® or Google Play™.

The Neuro 2 connectivity technology provides the most connectivity options in one system and you can wirelessly stream sound from your mobile phone or landline phone to your Neuro 2 sound processor and have a phone conversation without picking up the phone.

How to connect my cochlear implant solution to my mobile phone

Just make or take the call with your mobile phone or the Oticon Medical Streamer XM and the sound will be automatically transferred to your Neuro 2 – just like with a wireless headset. You don’t even need to hold your phone close to your mouth. Your Streamer will pick up your speech automatically. You can also hold video calls with family or friends, and have the sound sent straight to your sound processor.

How to connect my cochlear implant solution to my landline phone

Using a landline? You still don’t have to get up to answer the phone. The Phone Adapter 2.0 works with your stationary phone and it connects wirelessly to the Streamer within a range of 30 metres – allowing a call from a traditional landline phone, basically anywhere in the house, to be transmitted directly to your sound processor. The call can be answered directly on the Streamer or the ConnectLine App.

How to make wireless, hands-free phone calls with my cochlear implant solution

For hands-free phone calls use your Oticon Medical Streamer XM to wirelessly transmit sound to your sound processor. 

If you want to have a conversation with someone in the car, ask them to clip on the ConnectLine Microphone. This will transmit the sound of their voice wirelessly to your Neuro 2 and you don’t have to face each other.

If you are in a cinema, church or other venue with a loop system, you can access it through your Streamer’s built-in telecoil with a simple push of a button on the Streamer or ConnectLine App.

How to connect my cochlear implant solution to my TV

With support from the TV Adapter 2.0 and your Oticon Medical Streamer XM, you can hear your favourite shows directly in your sound processor. You can also use your Streamer or ConnectLine App as a personal volume control.

The TV Adaptor 2.0 transmits real-time audio from a TV to the Streamer from up to 30 metres away. This allows you, for example, to follow a TV show while preparing a coffee in the kitchen. You can set the volume to the preferred level on the Streamer and even mute Neuro 2 microphones for a listening experience free from distraction of surrounding noise.

To hear music, podcasts or audiobooks, wirelessly connect your Streamer to your phone, tablet, or computer and stream the sound directly to your sound processor.

BIMODAL USE

My options as a bimodal user

With Neuro 2 on one ear and Oticon Dynamo or Oticon Sensei SP hearing aid on the other, you can stream sound wirelessly to both ears at the same time.

Use the Oticon Medical Streamer XM and the ConnectLine App to adjust the volume from your electronic devices and wirelessly send the sound to both your Oticon hearing aid and your Neuro 2 sound processor. Any adjustments you make to volume or program changes then are made to both your Neuro 2 and hearing aid.
