Most people with a sound processor find that it quickly becomes a natural part of their life. To keep your sound processor in good condition, it’s important that you look after it. This section gives you some practical tips on caring for your sound processor.

Care

• You should regularly clean the outside of your sound processor and its accessories using a cleaning wipe or a stiff-bristled brush that has been lightly moistened with alcohol. This will remove any dust and perspiration residue.
• The protective case can be used to store your sound processor when you are not using it. It can also be used with the carrier for greater protection, especially during travel.

    To change the batteries, just open the battery door and insert correctly as shown. Close the battery compartment and turn on your sound processor.

    The sound processor’s ear hook is available in a variety of sizes. To change the ear hook, remove the used hook and replace it by simply clicking on a new hook.

    Your sound processor has a serial number written on the inside of the battery door. You should have this information ready if you need to contact our Customer Service.

    A number of diagnostic tools are available to help you diagnose any problems with your sound processor or accessories. Either place the antenna on the tester or use the self-check function on Neuro One by pressing the push button. The indicator light will then reveal whether your equipment is working optimally.     Changing the cable and/or antenna

    The ends of your sound processor’s cable and antenna come with a foolproof key. This key must be facing the right way for the socket and cable when connecting the cable to the sound processor or antenna. When removing the cable, ensure that you hold the end of the cable. Don’t pull on the cable itself.

    If the microphone earphones are plugged into the auxiliary socket, a hearing person will be able to listen to the audio signals when the sound processor is turned on. This allows others to detect any microphone problems.
